Vintage car appraisal from April 2024:
Condition 2+, value 37.000 €
Here I am selling my beautiful Corvette C3 from model year 1973 with matching numbers.
The special thing about the model year is that it was the last Corvette to have the beautiful chrome rear end. According to the sticker, it was built in September 1972.
Technically it runs perfectly, the paintwork is in very good condition for its age (repainted once in 1986 according to the owner's manual, untouched since then).
The following things have been done in the last 6 years:
- Ignition completely renewed and perfectly tuned
- New carburetor (Edelbrock) was installed and perfectly tuned (including a CO tester for the carburetor)
- Tires in very good condition (just under 5,000 miles run)
- Vacuum has been overhauled (e.g. for the headlights)
- Door rubbers and T-top rubbers were renewed (2024)
- Front wishbones were renewed
- All shock absorbers replaced (Bilstein)
- Various rubbers (including Teflon) and joint connections were renewed
- Servo support was completely overhauled
- Regular lubrication
- Regular oil changes
- TÜV until 3/2026 (without defects)
The km specification is the indicated 76,000 miles.
The underbody is original! I have left everything as it is so that you can get an idea of the good condition for the 52 years, even in the engine compartment (no engine wash or similar).
The air conditioning is installed and runs, but would have to be retrofitted (refrigerant).
Otherwise, all electrical parts such as window regulators, radio, heating, lighting system and windshield wipers (although it has never seen rain) work perfectly.
The automatic gearshift is very precise and very smooth.
The Birdcage is in very good condition.
The interior is in very good condition. The dashboard is not cracked, all displays work perfectly. The seats are very comfortable, even on long trips.
It received its MOT for 2 years in March 2024 without any complaints, but can be renewed early if desired.
H registration and classic car certificate (condition 2+, value € 37,000) are of course available - so just re-register and drive off :-)
If the buyer should come from the Rhine-Main area, I would also have a proven expert workshop for Corvette classic cars.
If desired, I could also take a look under the Corvette here, including an exchange of views with my Corvette expert.
Please do not make any outrageous price inquiries; this is a collector's car and not a distress sale. Everyone should be aware that there can be no guarantee/warranty or anything else on a vehicle that is over 50 years old; it is an old lady that wants to be looked after.
A price increase is certainly a given in the next few years; quite apart from the looks and thumbs-up you get with the vehicle!
