This one is better than new. Itâs a 1999 C5 Corvette 6-speed convertible with a mere 7,500 miles and loads of options. That by itself makes for a very desirable car, but this one goes well beyond the factory offering with a supercharged engine making almost 600 hp and a host of other upgrades. There is a lot to talk about here!
This carâs condition is just what youâd expect from a vehicle that has seen so few miles and such good care. It looks fantastic with its Torch Red paint which includes a protective clear film on the leading surfaces. The paint is nicely accented by the tan convertible top which matches the interior. The factory C5 wheels wear three-year-old Michelin Pilot Sport tires that have seen fewer than 1k miles. Everything is extremely clean, right down to the door jambs. The car has also been upgraded with LED lighting and accessories from Adjure.
The factory LS1 motor has received plenty of performance upgrades, starting with a ProCharger P-1SC supercharger and intake with dual intercoolers. Other improvements include PRC Stage 2.5 CNC ported heads and a Texas Speed 228/232 camshaft with 0.6â of lift. The exhaust uses long tube headers with high flow cats and an x-pipe. The dyno sheet shows 485 hp at the wheels which equates to nearly 600 hp on the motor.
Power goes through an upgraded clutch and factory 6-speed transmission with a differential brace for improved strength. A Steinjager rear sway bar kit has also been installed for better handling. This Corvette is equipped with the optional F45 suspension (selective ride control) along with the JL4 active handling system. The power steering is all stock, while the brakes have painted calipers with drilled and slotted rotors all around.
The tan interior looks and smells like new. Everything functions properly as well. This Corvette was equipped with the optional sport bucket seats, head-up display, dual zone climate control, remote CD changer, memory package, and tilt / telescoping steering column. Both seats are power as well. There arenât many options this car doesnât have! In addition it has an A-pillar boost gauge along with a wind deflector for reduced top-down noise. A window sticker is also included.
This is a spectacular Corvette. Of course there arenât many C5âs with such low mileage, but when combined with great options and performance upgrades it really becomes special. And with a window sticker of $51,528 and over $10,000 in upgrades, this one is a real bargain as well.
