1962 Impala A sound investment

Built by Scott Bonowski. Featured in Street Rodder Magazine (May 2019), multiple award winning Impala (Goodguys Gold Award Participant SEMA, Goodguys Award Winner). Was used in Maguiar's display at SEMA and runner up for Street Rodder's Street Rod of the Year

Stock lines of 62' Impala don't need many, if any changes but there were a few subtle changes with some of the trim. Impala SS was changed to SQ signifying the car's participation in Sound Quality automotive sound system competitions.

Vehicle sits on 19x8 and 20x10 Raceline static wheels, which provide great view to the 13 and 12 inch Wilwood disc brakes. Vehicle has many layers of sound deadening insulation to eliminate ambient noise and rattles. Sony RXS-GS9 high-res receiver is mounted behind the dash. Arc Audio Ps8 contoller fit in the tissue box. The engine is 350 Vortec. The vintage 409 dual snorkel air cleaner covers an Edelbrock Thunder Series 650 carb and intake manifold.

• Sanford's Custom Upholstery (Ed Sanford – Anderson, CA)
• Factory steering wheel with exterior color match
• Autometer water, oil and fuel gauges replace stocks instruments
• Vintage Air evaporator and vents were installed below the dash

MECHANICS:
• Chevy 350 Vortec small block
• Edelbrock Thunder Series 650 carb and intake manifold
• AccuAir Tank and compressor, batteries, and fuse block in the trunk
• Billet specialties Tru Trac serpentine system drives a powermaster alternator, Edelbrock water pump and Sanden compressor
• 700-R4 Transmission
• Steering is a CPP box
