Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this lovely 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS. First gen Malibu’s are currently skyrocketing in value. The crisp tidy styling, light weight, and relatively restrained size made the 1964-1965 Malibu and Chevelles an American performance classic. This 65 Malibu SS is a great example of the breed. It was repainted in its original factory colors, with a Mist Blue body and Ermine White roof. The interior is blue with buckets up front and no center console. The seats and door cards appear near new. The carpet is in great shape as well. Under the hood is a non-number matching 350 V8 with a spicy cam. The engine is fed via a Brawler 4-barrel carburetor, flowing fuel, and air through a Edlebrock intake manifold and AFR heads, then exiting through long tube exhaust headers. This thing sounds MEAN. Power is sent to an aftermarket 10 bolt rear end. Keeping this car shiny side up could be a challenge with a hot V8. Fortunately, this 65 Malibu SS sits on tubular control arms up front with bigger anti roll bars front and rear, plus adjustable trailing links to keep the rear axle in check. Stopping power is provided by disk brakes up front and drums in the rear. Chrome 18” American Racing wheels wrapped in meaty tires ensure this Malibu SS turns, stops, and launches far better than when it was new.
