As a race car, the famous 130 RS (FIA Homologation number: 1676), celebrated its greatest triumphs with a double victory in the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally in 1,300 cm3 category and a victory in the European Touring Car Championship of 1981, the vehicle achieved many victories in other Rally competitions as well.
During 1979 ten race cars Skoda 130 RS were imported by ASC (Auto Sport Club of Bulgaria) from former Czechoslovakia. This model sport car (the so called “Porsche of the East”) was produced from 1975 to 1981 with factory specifications - a highly tuned 4 in line cylinder, rear-mounted 1.3 liter ( 1289 cm3) OHV engine, water cooled, cast iron cylinder head and aluminum crankcase with dry oil sump system, self-locking differential, carburetors 2 x Weber’s 40 DCOE, delivering an impressive 142 PS at 8500 rpm and reaching top speed of 220 km/h. The original cam is preserved by the owner in perfect condition. Pilot of the car was ms (master of sport) Atanas Atanasov, the car still keeps its original number plate - ГB 20 30. The origin of the vehicle can be verified by the VIN Number shown in the attached photos.
