When this car rolls down the street all gearheads know exactly what kind of car this is, and even the non-enthusiast auto lovers turn to look when this baby cruises past. The Prowler was a revolutionary design at a time when it seemed like most cars had started to all look the same. One of the most interesting (and cool looking) design features of the Prowler is the open-wheel-style front end, with its aluminum control arms in full view. Under the hood, you'll find its original 253 HP 24-valve 3.5L V6, and you'll also see the massive inboard Koni coil-over shocks. Backing the potent V6 is a 4-speed "Autostick" automatic transmission, located near the rear and connected to the engine by a torque tube, which rotates at the same RPM as the engine. This powertrain layout also results in a nearly ideal 50/50 weight distribution, vastly improving handling. This potent Prowler sits on an aluminum racing-inspired chassis, contributing to a dazzling driving experience, and the power-to-weight ratio is incredible. These Prowlers are just plain fun to drive!
