Description

A 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV in Rosso Alfa. The coupe's lines are sleek and modern, with lots of glass and a sporty stance. This model debuted as early as 1963 as the successor to the Giulietta Sprint. Alfa Romeo aimed to create a faster, more refined coupe without losing its playful character, and they succeeded. The lightweight body, rear-wheel drive, five-speed manual transmission, and the famous Twin Cam four-cylinder engine made it popular among street drivers and racers alike.

In 1971, the 2000 GTV was introduced. The two-liter Twin Cam engine produced about 130 horsepower and was the most powerful in Alfa Romeo’s four-cylinder series at the time. While 130 horsepower may not seem like much today, it offers a lively and engaging driving experience. The engine revs eagerly, the manual transmission demands attention, and the steering provides the classic Alfa feel, making every drive enjoyable.

This particular example has been fully restored and rebuilt using original NOS parts. The Rosso Alfa paint looks exceptional, and the black interior is very well maintained. The chrome, wheels, and paint work harmoniously to create a striking appearance. Recently serviced by a German specialist, the car runs smoothly and offers a comfortable yet sporty driving experience. The signature steering wheel, classic gauges, and long hood enhance its timeless appeal.

A beautifully restored 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, finished in perhaps the most beautiful color for this model, meticulously rebuilt with original parts and attention to detail. Rosso Alfa, Twin Cam, Bertone—some combinations simply don’t need improving.
