Description

When Alfa Romeo unveiled the new Giulia, the brand took a remarkable approach. It didn’t start with the practical version and then gradually work its way up to the top-of-the-line model. Instead, Alfa Romeo showed the Quadrifoglio first. That really says it all. From the very beginning, the new sports sedan was meant to make clear where Alfa Romeo was headed: a front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive, and a strong focus on the driver.

The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 510 pk, 600 Nm of torque, and sends its power to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. These days, that almost sounds like a formula from another era. Great performance, rear-wheel drive, three pedals, and a gearshift that lets you decide what happens. The later Quadrifoglio became best known for its automatic transmission, which is why this early manual version is so appealing.

The car features serious carbon-ceramic brakes and fantastic Sparco seats with carbon fiber trim. You sit low, firmly planted, and exactly as you’d want in a car with this character. The Harman Kardon audio system is included, though most will likely prefer listening to the V6.

The exterior is finished in Rosso Competizione. Combined with dark five-hole wheels, four exhaust tips, functional hood vents, and subtle carbon fiber details, the Giulia looks muscular yet elegant. The famous Quadrifoglio emblems on the front fenders are a must. The four-leaf clover has a history at Alfa Romeo dating back to the 1920s and is a hallmark of the brand’s sportiest models, making it more than just a badge.

Technically, the Quadrifoglio is equally impressive. Alfa Romeo used carbon fiber for the roof and hood, among other parts, with weight distribution and chassis development playing key roles. The car responds quickly to steering inputs, feels direct, and delivers enormous power. In relaxed modes, it’s surprisingly easy to drive, but switch to Race mode and its character changes dramatically.

This particular example was delivered new in the Netherlands, has had only two private owners, and has covered fewer than 25,000 kilometers. The last owner is a former Squadra Bianca driver, with experience behind the wheel and a passion for Italian cars and spirited driving.

This Giulia Quadrifoglio is a rare combination: 510 pk, rear-wheel drive, twin-turbo V6, and a six-speed manual transmission—no paddle shifters, just clutch and shift for a true driving experience. It’s more than a fast sports sedan; it’s a uniquely configured early model from the Giulia line.
