Description

Summarizing the Alfa Romeo brand is best done by stating that they are sporty cars with racing genes that are also practical. Eén of the very best examples of this is the Alfa Romeo GT Junior. A sporty-lined coupé which, whether in GTA form or not, has won just about everything in motorsport that there is to win. In addition, it is also ééone of the most beautiful 2+2s ever made and so it is logical that the Bertone-drawn coupé has such an enthusiastic fan base. After starting with a 1300 and 1600, Alfa Romeo later came out with a 1750 and 2000 in the compact coupé. The 2000 GTV is the most powerful version and boasts about 130 horsepower. That is exactly the version we are offering here. This Bertone is then also in a particularly nice condition because the car has been completely restored. It already starts with the beautiful body, painted in beautiful blue metallic. With a deep, bright shine, the GTV looks incredibly sleek. The sheet metal is exceptionally clean and fits are as they should be after an intensive restoration. Even the chrome and stainless steel parts are all in top condition. The original 14” Campagnolo wheels are very clean and give the GTV a luxurious appearance. The interior of the GTV is executed in brown leatherette and is in a clean condition. The typical 1970s dashboard houses the necessary gauges from Jaeger, which all function perfectly and are easily visible through the large wooden steering wheel. The headliner is covered with beige upholstery, as befits this model. The carpets are black and very neat.

The center console houses the five-speed gearbox that allows the 1,962 cc metering four-cylinder to release its power through the rear wheels onto the asphalt. The gearbox shifts smoothly and has already been overhauled once. The engine itself breathes through two twin Dell'Orto carburetors, providing a beautiful intake sound. The two-liter is known as a torquey engine that has plenty of power everywhere. This is no different with this GTV as the Italian coupé manages to pick up speed in a very smooth manner. The steering characteristics are to match, with fantastic handling. The balance between sportiness and comfort is very pleasant, due to the installation of red Koni shock absorbers. The GTV comes with the necessary invoices showing that the car has been neatly maintained. The underside of the Alfa Romeo is also very well cared for. This GTV is the ideal choice for someone who wants to get miles and no to-do list with his car: just turn the key and enjoy!
