Gallery Aaldering once started with Alfa Romeo. So as soon as an Alfa comes into Brummen, it always makes us happy! We go back to 1966 and to the Geneva International Motor Show to be exact, when Alfa Romeo unveiled the 1600 Spider, known today as the 'Duetto'. This was the last project under the direction of Giovanni Battista 'Pinin' Farina. The basis of the 1600 Spider was the Giulia Sprint GT, but with a shortened wheelbase of 225 mm. The car was powered by a 1,570 cc engine with two carburetors, good for 109 hp. Thanks to the combination of this powerful engine, a five-speed gearbox, independent front and rear suspension, brake discs all around and a weight of only 990 kg, the Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider is a great car to drive. Not surprisingly, this model is highly sought after by enthusiasts.With its iconic design and exceptional driving performance, the Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider remains a timeless classic. That's why we are happy to once again have a fresh Alfa Duetto Spider in the collection. And this Alfa also looks great with the color Avorio and black upholstery. We have a soft spot for it! This is an early Alfa Duetto from 1967 and according to the literature only 6,341 first series were built. This of course makes it not only rare, but also sought after among enthusiasts. This Alfa still looks very nice with neat and fresh paintwork. This also applies to the chrome work such as the bumpers and hubcaps. The car as a whole looks very presentable and this Alfa Romeo invites you to get in and drive it to the south of France. The interior is also very nice to call and the upholstery of the seats, the door panels, the instrument panel and the dashboard are nice examples of this. The whole looks very clean.  Thanks to the five-speed transmission, independent front and rear suspension and brake discs all around, this Duetto offers an excellent driving experience and promises many enjoyable (sunny) miles. Under the hood, the car is in good condition. This example drives excellently. The engine runs smoothly, the gearbox shifts smoothly and the brakes, thanks in part to the disc brakes, feel safe and reliable.Alfa Romeo’s always have something special in our opinion.
