Description

Some cars are getting heavier, quieter, and more comfortable. Alfa Romeo decided to do exactly the opposite with the 4C. Less weight, fewer aids, and above all, more feel. The result was a compact sports car that was actually closer to an exotic supercar than to a traditional roadster.

The 4C debuted in 2013 and meant a lot to Alfa Romeo. It was the brand’s first sports car in years that was all about one goal: driving. The car featured a carbon-fiber monocoque, a mid-engine layout, and rear-wheel drive—features you’d typically expect in cars from a completely different price segment.

The 4C has no power steering. These days, that’s almost unthinkable. But that’s precisely why every movement of the steering wheel feels direct and honest. It’s exactly what many enthusiasts are so passionate about.

The Spider became available in 2015. Driving with the top down added an extra dimension to the car. After all, the turbocharged engine is right behind you, and you can hear it—exactly as it should be.

This example is finished in the iconic Giallo Prototipo. It’s a color that perhaps best showcases the 4C’s compact lines. Combined with black leather and Alcantara, it creates a striking contrast that suits this Alfa Romeo perfectly. To keep the paint looking as beautiful as it is now, the car was treated with a ceramic coating, and the front end is protected with paint protection film. It’s the kind of investment you’d expect on a car that’s been cared for meticulously.

The trim level is also exceptionally well-equipped. The beautiful 18-inch wheels, among other features, were selected straight from the factory. The finishing touches were provided by Pogea Racing. The sport exhaust with valves gives the 1750 turbo engine extra character, while the carbon fiber rear spoiler enhances the look. Sporty, yet maintaining the car’s original appeal. Under the hood, a suspension upgrade with spacers ensures sharper handling and the right stance.

With just 36,000 kilometers on the odometer, this 4C is in wonderful condition. Maintenance has been performed exclusively by trusted Dutch Alfa Romeo specialists. The original service booklets, complete maintenance history, and invoices are included. The production booklet with photos of the car’s construction has also been preserved, adding to its story.

Practical details have been considered as well. The fabric protective cover for the roof is included, along with the original car cover and a trickle charger.

Although a 4C is primarily about driving, modern conveniences have not been overlooked. Thanks to an infotainment upgrade, the car features Apple CarPlay, and an Alpine and Hertz audio system has been installed. This setup, which required an investment of approximately €3,000, delivers impressive sound quality for a car of this type.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is a car that’s difficult to compare to many others. Its carbon-fiber body, compact dimensions, mid-engine layout, and light weight create a driving experience that’s rare these days.

Finding a good 4C often depends on the specific model, color, options, and history. This particular example combines all these elements beautifully. Contact Gallery Aaldering today. We export our vehicles worldwide—ask us about the possibilities.
