With a negligible expense, you buy a specimen in splendid condition and with the certainty of an important economic revaluation in the coming years. The prices of the Arese hothatch, in fact, are already rising but have not yet skyrocketed like other models of the same era, now reserved for a few wealthy enthusiasts.
Behind the wheel you can relive the emotions of driving in the style of the 90s: a powerful aspirated engine, which stretches forcefully at high revs, a chassis and a set-up that make it extremely manageable, a precise manual gearbox, dance music that comes out of the speakers stereo and a few other frills to distract from the driving fun. Unlike 80s cars, in this case, you don't have to give up on comfort, guaranteed by a comfortable interior and by now indispensable accessories such as power steering and air conditioning.
THE EXAMPLE FOR SALE
We searched for it, selected it among many and chose this specimen, which was already in good condition, in relation to its age. We traced its history, talked to the previous owners and verified the veracity of the mileage, less than 100,000 km.
We then carried out a small conservative restoration.
The bodywork was already in good condition, showed no trace of a left, but we still invested to fix the small imperfections due to age, such as scratches on the bumpers or faded paint on the bonnet and in some parts of the roof. Today it shows itself in all its glory.
The cockpit was cleaned and sanitized and nothing else had to be done, as it has always been well maintained and shows no particular signs of wear despite its 25 years of age.
The mechanics have always been taken care of and the previous owners had already done various works, including the replacement of the timing belt which we believe has been carried out twice.
Finally, we replaced some parts, changed the leaking petrol pump, changed the Lambda probe, made a service and a general tuning.
Now it turns like a clock.
