Dyna-Veritas Cabriolet 1952Extremely rare: only about 15 known examples. Equipped with a 4-stroke aluminum 2-cylinder boxer engine by Panhard & Levassor. Repainted in a beautiful light blue metallic color. Fully restored. Maintenance performed in 2026. Eligible to participate in the Mille Miglia rally. History and Documentation. This is a unique car built in 1952. The manufacturer produced only 176 cars, of which about 15 are still known to exist today. This example has been registered with a Dutch license plate since 1965, with the first registration in 1954. The chassis number is 852004, and the original registration certificate from 1965 is still in possession. The car was delivered to Baron Willem Hendrik Taets van Amerongen van Renswoude, a distinguished figure who served as mayor of Oudenrijn and Driebergen-Rijsenburg and owned Renswoude Castle. It remained in the family until 2010, a total of 55 years. Produced from 1950 to 1952, the brand aimed to create an affordable sports car for the mass market. Many parts were sourced from other brands such as DKW and Volkswagen. The chassis, engine, and transmission are from Panhard & Levassor, making it essentially a French car. The name “Dyna” refers to a Panhard model. The body was built by German coachbuilder Baur. Although it has been in the Netherlands for a long time, it remains relatively unknown. The car is guaranteed to turn heads and is a rare find. It has been restored and is in excellent condition, making it a valuable addition to any collection. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully executed example and increase your chances of participating in the legendary Mille Miglia rally. Exterior. The color combination is very attractive: light blue metallic paint with a red interior and a beige roof. This highlights the car’s aerodynamic curves and flowing fenders. The windows and lights are in pristine condition, with new rubber seals. The chrome trim is in good condition with a light patina. The steel wheels are painted to match the body and finished with chrome wheel covers. The car was repainted during a previous restoration. There are a few signs of wear visible. The luxurious beige soft top is double-walled, recently replaced, and in excellent condition. Interior. The interior features a simple yet charming design with a few beautifully crafted gauges and buttons. The odometer reads 79,749 km. Thanks to the rear seat, the car can seat four people. Opening the soft top allows for an enjoyable open-air experience. The trunk is well-maintained with new red upholstery, and contains the spare tire and original tools. The dashboard is painted to match the body color and contrasts nicely with the red leather upholstery. Technical Specifications. The front-mounted, aluminum, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder boxer engine has a displacement of 850 cc and produces 42 horsepower. This engine provides a playful driving experience. Despite its small size, the car’s light weight and front-wheel drive ensure excellent maneuverability and grip. Over the past year, the car has undergone a technical overhaul, including a fully comprehensive roadworthiness check. The shift mechanism and cover have been overhauled, engine mounts replaced, and carburetion adjusted. The engine compartment and undercarriage are in very good, rust-free condition.
