Here at Peter Vardy Heritage we are privileged to offer this rare late model Daimler Sovereign Pillarless Coupe 4.2CC.
This Daimler is presented in deep Regency Red coachwork with full Biscuit leather upholstery. It has a particularly interesting pedigree, having previously been owned by Sir Anthony Jolliffe, who was the sheriff of London in 1980 and the Mayor of London in 1982 it was treated to a full restoration in 1988 whereby the car was completely stripped to bare metal and the shell shot blasted, all faulty panels were replaced with new and car repainted in original colour. The engine was completely dismantled and re-engineered, the crank reground, new pistons were fitted, the gearbox stripped and rebuilt.
Also, all new suspension, steering, brakes, radiator, exhaust, and road wheels were fitted together with both front and rear screens and seals, Interior was treated to a new headlining and the seats were re-trimmed in the factory original biscuit leather. It is as immaculate today as it was when it reappeared after its 3-year restoration programme and drives beautifully.
