Description

This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Classic Sale at CarFest 2026 on Saturday the 29th of August and Sunday the 30th of August at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.

Supplied new by Datsun Broadwater Ltd on 1st August 1976 to Mr. M. Willis of Burgess Hill, West Sussex, the car remained with the Willis family for decades before joining a small private collection.

It was enjoyed regularly in its early years before being dry-stored from the early 1990s. The vehicle has been clearly maintained with great care throughout its life.

In 2022, it was expertly recommissioned by renowned Datsun specialists Fourways Engineering of Kent, with over £10,000 invested in comprehensive mechanical refurbishment. Work included a major service, full brake overhaul, carburettor rebuild, cylinder head machining, new inlet valves and guides, suspension bushes, bearings, and MOT preparation. Further servicing was carried out in 2022 and January 2024.

The car is presented in its original Silver Metallic (306) with a black interior, showing exceptional originality throughout. The engine bay, luggage compartment, and underside all reflect its remarkably low mileage. It has been protected from new with a documented Ziebart treatment, contributing to its outstanding structural condition.

Accompanied by an extensive history file, including the original sales invoice, warranty and service booklet, owner's handbook, period sales brochures, extensive MOT history, and the original factory toolkit.

Although the V5C records four previous keepers, these were effectively members of the Willis family before passing to one further collector. This is an outstandingly genuine and beautifully documented 260Z. Early inspection is welcomed and encouraged.
