For sale: Beautiful Simca 9 Sport Coupé from 1953, performed in yellow with a green roof. This special French classic car with a partly aluminum body stood still from 1984, before in 2001 started the complete restoration. During this restoration that lasted 8 years in total, much attention was paid to every detail. The fits of the sheet metal, the paintwork, chrome and interior are very neat.
The interior of the Simca 9 Sport built by Facel-Vega has many authentic details such as the characteristic steering wheel, painted dashboard and three-dimensional Jaeger counters and the chrome accents. After the restoration, this Simca 9 Sport won various jury and public prizes at various competitions and old-timer events.
The Simca 9 Sport is equipped with a 1.221 cc 4-cylinder engine that delivers 51hp and a manual gearbox with 4 gears. The luxurious seating position and lively engine make this 65-year-old classic a pleasure to ride. Since its restoration, only approx. 11,300 kilometers have been driven with this Simca 9 Sport.

The Simca 9 Sport was presented to the public for the first time as the successor to the Simca 8, at the Paris Motor Show in October 1952. The Simca 9 had a monochrome structure, a slightly longer body, flat side guards, compared to its predecessor. rear and the rear lights were placed in small “wings”. Who exactly designed the Simca 9 Sport is unclear. Jean Daninos, Boss of Facel-Métallon (later Facel-Vega), has signed the car together with Pininfarina or the Simca-designers. Facel-Métallon produced the Simca 9 Sport.
The Simca 9 Sport has been in production for only 3 years from 1952 to 1954. The price for the 9 Sport was very high: higher than the price of a Porsche 356. Probably the reason for the disappointing sales figures. In total, only 1,449 Simca 9 Sport cars were built.
