From the outset, the Dodge Viper's design seemed too bold, too compromised, to hope for a production version.
However, thanks to a fortunate coincidence and the ingenuity of a handful of individuals, in 1992 the world was able to experience its wild nature.
The GTS (coupe) version appeared four years later, bringing with it a number of changes but without altering the design's essence.
It remained a machine dedicated to the driver who knows what they want from a sports car.
The Dodge presented here has an interesting history.
After leaving the factory in 2002, it was launched in Poland.
Daimler-Chrysler immediately assigned it the role of a "showcar."
That is, a flagship car, made available to the automotive press and participating in moto events.
The example shown here is from the limited ACR ("American Club Racer") edition, distinguished by, among other things, a distinctive design. Adjustable suspension, modified air intake, and five-point seat belts. It was also distinguished by 18-inch forged BBS wheels, unique to this version. This example is also equipped with the "Comfort Group" package, which adds an audio system and air conditioning system, originally removed from the ACR edition.
Speaking of equipment, the Viper shown here includes:
– air conditioning
– tinted windows
– power windows
– power seats
– power mirrors
– leather upholstery
– CD player
The Dodge also underwent a series of service procedures, including:
– installation of a new set of spark plugs
– oil change in the engine, transmission, and differential
– installation of new brake lines
– accessory belt replacement
If you're looking for a sports car with an exceptionally good driving experience for the price, the Dodge Viper may be the answer. Additionally, being a limited edition ACR, it strengthens its position in the classic car market.
Combined with its interesting history, it creates a car worth having in your collection.
