Description

1915 Dodge Four Model 110WB Open Tourer

Chassis number: 31000

Registration Number.: SV9003

Fully restored & in perfect running condition; This Dodge Brother Tourer comes to us from its 81 year old owner whom has been its custodian for over a decade. Prior to that the car was imported & fully restored at vast expense far exceeding the asking price of the car. Lifitng the bonnet & seeing the gleaming engine gives one an idea of the painstaking levels gone to, to bring it up to its current condition.

A thisk history file comes with the car detailing much of the work done wilth bills for parts from assorted Dodge experts world wide along with copius advice on setting up the engine, valve clearances etc etc. As a result the car starts easily & runs beautifully.

The 3.5 litre 4 cylinder engine is quite powerful & sufficient to bowl the car along at 50 MPH or so up hill & down dale. (Well down dale at least.) The car is euipped with a dynastart that has been fully restored & rewound making for relaible operation. The gear box is an easy to use 3 speed unit. A modern rev counter has been fitted to the dash to aument the original instrumentation.

The cosmetics on the car are superb, resplendent as it is in dark blue over black paintwork. To the interior are lovely comfortable blue buttoned leather seats of a quality one might more expect to find in a Rolls Royce extending also to the door cards. A sonorous klaxon announces the arrival of the vehicle activated by a period push button that falls readily to ones right hand. The hood is a new black mohair affair whish easily erects & has a roll up rear window. The hood has a new hood bag to cover it when down & a rear tonneu cover also comes with the car giving a useful secure area for touring.

New tyres have just been fitted up front & the rears tyres are also in excellent order. The only deviation from standard is a freer flowing SU carburettor giving better running reliability & performance. To the rear is a brand new spare wheel & there is storage under the rear seats for tools.

These early Americans were built to cover huge distances & as a consequence are of large capacity compared to similar English offerings & have a robust reliable "go anywhere" feel to them. In the case of this car however, the elderly owner has kept most of his regular outings within a local 20 mile radius of home with occasional longer summer excursions.

Simply put: It is a car that wants for nothing, is on the button & comes to us fully restored ready for immediate extended use.
