Often the excellent placings of this car were compromised by numerous mechanical failures, which did not allow Alfa Romeo to obtain the desired results. Despite this, the Alfetta had the basis to be able to achieve excellent results, but its rally career came interrupted prematurely due to strategies from the top, who did not want to continue their career in rallies.
Francesco Chicco Svizzero was one of the drivers who collected the best results with this car, and he himself stated in various interviews that if this car had continued to race, it would have achieved the success it deserved.
To this day this specimen remains an extremely rare and sought-after object for any collector looking for a real piece of history.
