We often start our texts with a little bit of model history. A little excitement for the model. But quite honestly: the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider doesn't need that. Introduced in 1954, it was presented at the Turin Motor Show and immediately the Pinifarina-drawn model was praised for its shapes. A beloved classic that is not only timelessly beautiful but also great to drive. We are dealing here with a Giulietta 1300 Spider that the most recent Dutch (originally Italian) owner has enjoyed for many years. The Italian, with a barber store in Amsterdam drove the car for decades and had the car very well maintained. Piles of invoices from various very well known specialists from the Alfa Romeo world are present with the car. The owner only did business with Alfa specialists who have been well known within Alfa circles for decades.The Spider therefore drives great. The 1300is completely overhauled and (partly for this reason) hangs on the gas nicely and performs exceptionally well. The original 80 horsepower seems more than that and the pleasure is further enhanced by the wonderful, nimble handling. In short: if you are looking for an incredibly spirited and charming two-seater sports car, then you are completely right with this Giulietta. And the exterior condition? That does not disappoint either!The Spider, which was delivered in 1960 came to the Netherlands in 2000. The bodywork is painted in brilliant red, making the lines of Pininfarina stand out perfectly. A Giulietta Spider can be counted among ééone of the most beautiful bodywork of all time. This Spider is no exception. The paint has a deep luster and full color, at a single spot an imperfection in the paint can be observed. No, rest assured, no corrosion or other woes, simply a few minimal spots where the paint has been applied somewhat unevenly. The body itself is very tight and the fits are very neat, the doors fall shut easily and the same goes for the hood and trunk lid. The chrome work has all been done before so the look of the Spider is great.The interior is also of unparalleled beauty. The beautiful dashboard with three large gauges that are divided into various information and are housed in a dashboard painted mostly in paint color. The upholstery has been updated, choosing to trim the black parts with red accents. It makes for a very atmospheric cabin. The entire interior can be described as "very clean," the carpeting and seat trim even "very nice. The car comes as said with many invoices, which extend to very recent dates. This includes an invoice from which it can be seen that the convertible top was recently replaced, no wonder it is still in 'like new condition'. The Spider also comes with the necessary books and documentation.
