CURIOSITY/HISTORY VEHICLE: The two-seater convertible Spider is in a way an anomaly in the Alfa Serie 101 range, as it was designed by Pininfarina and assembled not in the Alfa plant in Milan, but in the Pininfarina plant in Grugliasco, created specifically for this purpose.

The interior fully reflects its personality as a sporty, pleasure-oriented car. It was equipped throughout its production by the in-line 4-cylinder of 1290cc displacement mounted in a longitudinal front position.

It was a twincam engine with a light alloy cylinder head and crankcase and two overhead valves per cylinder. The transmission was a 4-speed synchronized + reverse gear. As for the chassis part, the Giulietta Spider was a full-frame car with a metal body (monocoque), the weight was contained between 880 kg and 895 kg.
