We are offering for sale a 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale—also known as the Giulietta SS. Designed by Franco Scaglione during his time at Bertone, only 1,366 units were produced. Its powerful 1300 engine generated approximately 100 hp; the engine and gearbox were derived directly from the race-oriented Giulietta Sprint Zagato. The beautiful, aerodynamic bodywork boasted a drag coefficient of just 0.28—a benchmark that would not be surpassed for another 20 years. Some time ago, this SS underwent a mechanical overhaul and restoration by a European Alfa Romeo specialist. The exquisite bodywork features high-quality, well-aligned panels.
