Woow presents this rare Romeo 2 in this pick-up body called “Autocarro”. Delivered new in the town of Fossano in Italy, the copy remains highly original and has a full history from day 1. This model can be counted on the fingers of the hand all over the world. The copy presented works and is sold serviced.

A true museum piece, this Romeo will surprise you for many reasons. Imagine it as a workshop truck pulling an Alfa Romeo GTA through the paddocks at Le Mans Classic or at the Goodwood Revival. It makes a perfect racing and motorcycle racing team car. Our clientele being international, our old Romeo 2 had been exported to Los Angeles. We can imagine this one in Venice Beach loaded with a small Monkey motorbike and surfboards in the spirit of retroboards. The possibilities are numerous, and all of them catchy.

This is a car with a singular character, enjoying exceptional charm thanks to 61 years of patina. The body colors are really stunning. The red has turned ocher and the whole is visually healthy with time marks. Alfa Romeo logos are in good condition. They are very sought after because almost impossible to have of this time. Everything is present here. Many almost unique elements like the dashboard counter, or the "Alfa Romeo Brunsig Brevett" plate on the front bumper will amaze any enthusiast. Beautifully weathered, we recommend keeping its unusual appearance, the whole being in good structural condition.

The mechanics, bodywork and chassis are matching numbers, that is to say that all the numbers typed correspond to the identification plate. They are therefore original. There is even a body identification plate with the number 127. The latter is stamped on the front panel. It is fitted with the optional Perkins engine, which is very rare and renowned for its robustness. The upholstery was too worn and has been redone.

As the model has almost disappeared, it is an incredible collector's item. After several years of researching a Romeo 2, this is the only one we have found in this body. Our research was borderless, however. This copy has survived the years and has been preserved. The patina is exceptional and we recommend keeping it that way.

The history is very complete from the beginning. We have the original registration card, warranty booklet, technical manuals, workshop file, as well as the commercial catalog.
The warranty booklet is stamped with the stamp of the Alfa Romeo dealer Fratelli Bessone upon delivery on November 23, 1960. Its first owner Mr. Pagliero. Every owner has taken good care of this Romeo and the overhaul history tells us since the first one in 1961. The dealer's workshop filing cabinet is provided, which is obviously a very rare item. Along with this, the owner's technical manual. Also, the old-fashioned dealer manual tells us about all of the brand's brands from Jamaica to New York. These documents are in very good condition. The small notebooks as well as the Libretto are always neatly stored in the original pouch adorned with the golden Alfa Romeo logo. Such a rare model, from such a beautiful brand with such a history, is out of the ordinary.
This Romeo also has all its accessories with its two original keys, its specific tool kit marked "Alfa Romeo" in the foundry, the spare wheel and the original jack.

As indicated previously, a revision is carried out. It concerns a repair of the brakes, the replacement of all fluids, the checks of the hoses, the replacement of the filters, the cooling system and we will carry out various checks as well as the lubrication.
