The Alfa Romeo Spider (105/115 series) is a classic roadster built from 1966 to 1993. It is based on the Giulia and was designed by the Italian design firm Pininfarina.
The first series (1966–1969) was known as the Alfa Romeo Spider 1600. In 1968, the Alfa Romeo 1750 line was introduced, and the Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce, meaning "fast" in Italian, was launched. The first major exterior update occurred in late 1969 with the introduction of the Series 2 (1969–1982/83). This update featured a more conventional, flattened rear end, known as the "Coda Tronca," which improved trunk space.
In 1971, the engine displacement increased to 1,962 cc, and the model was renamed the 2000 Spider Veloce. Four years later, the model was equipped with two additional seats, creating a 2+2 four-seater. Over 38,000 units of the Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce were produced.
This 1981 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is a sought-after model featuring elegant chrome bumpers. It comes with numerous receipts and appraisal reports, confirming its status as a collector’s car. The vehicle was delivered new in the Netherlands in July 1981.
