“The last real Alpina. No filters.”
It doesn’t get more intense than this. The GT is the ultimate evolution of the already impressive Alpina B5, and it also marks the end of an era: this is the last true Alpina, the final one still fully developed in Buchloe.
The base is the BMW M550i, equipped with the well-known N63 V8 biturbo engine. Where this engine delivers 530 hp in standard form, Alpina raises the output in the B5 to 608 hp. In this exclusive B5 GT, it goes a step further still: 634 hp, making it even more powerful than the M5 of the same generation.
Performance speaks for itself. This estate sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The B5 GT continues effortlessly to a top speed of 330 km/h.
This particular example is finished in the rare and sporty Imola Red II (paint code 405), combined with a fully leather BMW Individual interior. Exactly what you would expect from an Alpina GT.
The specification list is absurdly complete, starting with the special Alpina package on request, featuring an exclusive Walnut Anthracite interior. The car sits on the characteristic 20-inch G30/G31 Alpina B5 forged wheels, completing the overall look. It is also equipped with, among other things, board equipment, M Sport Package, extensive bodywork equipment, an adapted exhaust system, and optimized engine control. Plus a limited-slip differential, sport suspension, and the high-end Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
And then the highlight: 620 kilometers. No typo. On the odometer. Practically new, this is pure brute Alpina heritage—and likely one of the last chances to own a true Alpina in its purest form.
