Description

This is something we rarely see nowadays. A 1934 Alvis Silver Eagle. The car has a body that is inspired by an open touerer. The full maintenance history since 1987 is present with the car and we can only say that the car looks really beautiful. Of course the car is already fully restored. We can not say other than that the work is done very well. The car is obviously restored to perfection and since then very well maintained. Looking at the condition of the chassis and bodywork, we can only conclude that the car is in perfect health. The chassis was beautifully painted during the restoration and all the attachments such as suspension, differential and drive shafts are in good condition. The bodywork looks great. At the left side of the body are two small doors for easy entry. The doors close properly and the hood is in good condition and of heavy quality. The car stands on spoked wheels in the color of the car and both the wheels and the tires are in very good condition. The chrome grille is also in very good condition and on the front of the car is a "badgebar" mounted with various mementos of beautiful events in which this car has participated.

The interior is like most prewar cars spartan but beautifully designed. You sit on sporty seats surrounded by beautiful black leather. The carpets are also in very good condition and the dashboard is a feast for the eyes with its beautifully designed counters and the beautiful aluminum on which they are mounted. Another remarkable thing is that the car has the accelerator in the middle and the brake is where you would expect the accelerator to be. It takes some getting used to but it adds greatly to the unique driving character of this beautiful Alvis. The Alvis cars have always been known for their sporty nature. This Silver Eagle is no exception. The car is powered by a six-in-line engine that produces 70 hp, a very impressive power for 1934. At the time, it made the car one of the fastest cars in the United Kingdom. The engine runs perfectly and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Driving such a pre-war car is an absolute joy. You adjust the ignition a bit, modulate the throttle properly, steer a bit more to keep the car on the right track, it's a driving experience that a modern car simply cannot offer you. This Alvis Silver Eagle comes with two large binders with documentation that includes invoices, correspondence about the car, workshop manuals and photographs. In short, not only a beautiful Alvis to see but also a technically and optically very well maintained example in a lovely color scheme with the right documentation.
