Special Aston Martin DB 2/4 Mk2 Tickford Coupe. This rare example was delivered new to the 1st owner on April 17, 1957 in London, England. The 1st owner was a very early Aston Martin Owners Club member. The Mk2 was the successor to the DB 2/4 and was introduced in October 1955. Compared to its predecessor, the Mk2 had a curved windshield, hood air intake, side vents and redesigned rear fenders. The engine was also enlarged to 2922 cc and therefore more powerful. In total, about 199 mk2 versions were produced, of which only 34 with this special Tickford Coupé body, also known as 'Notchback' Coupé. In the recent past, this Tickford Coupé was completely 'Bare-Metal' restored and completely technically overhauled. This restoration took place in England and was carried out professionally. Documented, of course, with various photos and invoices. During the restoration, the DB 2/4 was equipped with an electric Kenlowe fan and 1-2-3 ignition. The body is like new, has sublime and sleek sheet metal. The fits and all details are perfect. The underside is also like new and leaves nothing to be desired! Performed in her original Two-Tone livery 'Dark Grey' with a 'Moonbeam Gray' roof and red leather interior. In short, a rare Gentlemans Coupé, unique and rarely for sale!
