This is one of the very last Coronet Cream Austin Healeys ever built (March 23rd,
1954). The Donald Healey Motor Company introduced the Coronet Cream color
in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953. The combination of the Coronet
Cream with a red interior makes this an extremely rare example. It is estimated
that only 330 with this combination were ever produced and only a handful have survived
to modern times. These cars are so special that one example, with a blue interior,
resides in the permanent collection of the Healey Museum in The Netherlands.
This beautiful example has just undergone a meticulous restoration to bring it back to its
original state. It is a numbers matching car with the original engine and transmission, as
can be verified on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. Every attempt has
been made to keep this unique car as original as possible. It is equipped with the original
style drum brakes, original radiator, and the original aluminum boot lid. It comes with the
original aluminum fan, though it has been removed for safety. It also comes equipped with
an entirely new frame, which will bring years of enjoyment and no worries about frame rot.
