Description

PROJECT of a Austin Healey Bj8 from 1967
Chassis number: HBJ8L/38564
Body number: 3230BJ8 83;397
Original colour: white

On behalf of our client, we are offering in his name a very nice and interesting restoration project. It comes with all the parts pictured and it will definitely make a desirable and great classic car after she has underwent an extensive restoration.
This Austin Healey project can either be bought as a project in state and condition as it is today to restore it yourself or there is the possibility that you acquire this project and it could be restored on your personal wishes and demands through current owner himself who has his own service and maintenance company of classic cars in Belgium. Partial restoration and full restoration upon customer request.
Here detailed information on this project

Present:
• Engine and gearbox with overdrive (both are loose)
• Rear axle
• Complete braking system including handbrake (still working) and brake servo
• All body panels (except 2 rear wings, which are out of polyester)
• Ventilation motor
• Radiator
• All gauges (speedometer are apart)
• Fully veneered dashboard (in very good condition)
• Steering column and full suspension
• All lighting (front and rear)
• All chrome parts (except trim around the rear hood)
• All hinges, door handles, window handles, windscreen frame, etc.
•Gas tank
• Hood frame + upholstery

Missing parts:
• Trim (chrome) around rear hood
• Wings at the back (polyester)
• Seat and door trim in poor condition
• Speedometer disassembled

Additional parts:
• New main brake pump (for fast road) to be used without servo
• Front wings (used, but good condition)
• Tailgate (without openings for luggage rack)
• New gas pump

It is an honest project with welding, but perfectly feasible.
Floor needs to be renewed.
- Glass is present, but in poor condition: windscreen broken, side windows slightly scratched.
- Hinges and all small details are in very good condition (including chrome).
- Bumpers and grille need to be re-chromed.

For the rest this project is complete.

More information and pictures certainly on request.
