Description

Another superbly kept S1 Bentley from one of our trusted friends with a smashing collection of classic cars

He drove her down to us here in London from his home in Scotland in mid July and proudly waxed lyrically about how comfortably she sat on the motorway without fuss before arriving in the London traffic with the smooth balanced idle that only a good Bentley or Rolls-Royce can achieve

Naturally on a mid summers drive the length of the country her A/C was both needed and sincerely appreciated

The previous owner, who kept the car for 20 years, had the air conditioning fitted for a tour in Malaysia that he had taken the car on and always serviced with P&A Wood

It is also quite clear that the interior has been retrimmed with fresh veneers, as well nicely used seats and carpets etc

She really does look the part

As well as the superb air conditioning so brilliantly fitted to the facia she has also been given a new stereo with upgraded speakers, DAB, BT, AUX etc.

Leaving the factory she was supplied new with power steering well as picnic tables for both rear and front passengers

Only 49 S1 Flying Spurs were built by coach makers HJ Mulliner on the Continental chassis making this an extremely rare car indeed in RHD

Since her arrival with us we have undertaken a full bare metal re-spray for which she looks extremely fresh as well as re-chroming the bumpers & over-riders, wheel discs, headlight bezels, radiator shell, radiator vanes and the boot handle

Mechanically she was already in really fine order however we did identify the need for a new exhaust manifold which we, of course, fitted immediately

Simply marvellous
