Motodrome offer this outstanding 1975 BMW 1602 manual, finished in Verona Red with black interior
This original UK RHD example is one of the last of the classic 02 shape BMWs, from the days when the tag ‘The Ultimate Driving |Machine’ actually meant something. Compared to it’s British contemporaries, it’s so far ahead of the g\me it’s unreal.
This one has just emerged from a very comprehensive restoration by the last owner. Purchased in 2017 as a project, and having previously been off the road for a number of years, 8 years later it’s had a full body and mechanical restoration topped off by a high-quality repaint in the original colour by Chris Emblem, to return it to it’s original specification and make it one of the nicest around.
The ubiquitous M10 1573cc engine was fully rebuilt and has done minimal mileage since.
The interior, as it was in pretty decent shape with the exception of the carpets, has been left largely ‘as is’, with the exception of new black carpets throughout, and presents well.
It drives beautifully, with a very sweet engine, slick 4-speed gearbox, and goes down the road smoothly with no rattles or squeaks.
It comes with a good selection of bills from it’s restoration.
Odometer reading 99000 miles
Comes with MOT to late March 2026, with no advisories
What else can I say about it? If you know your classic BMW’s, you’ll know just how special this one is, and it’s as lovely as they come.
On our own website, you'll find our usual 2 videos – a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
