The BMW 3.0 CS is part of the E9 series, a coupé-model whose first version, the BMW 2800 CS, was launched in 1968. The E9's design was widely admired for its elegance and sporty appearance. The 2800 CS was succeeded in 1971 by the 3.0 CS, which was distinguished by the more powerful 3-liter engine and the introduction of four disc brakes. The 180-hp 3-liter six-cylinder inline engine of the 3.0 CS puts a top speed of 213 mph on the clock and accelerates as desired to 100 mph in 9.0 seconds. True to BMW tradition, the car is driven on the rear wheels. The E9 was available with automatic transmission from the beginning and the one at Classic Park is equipped with it. Also, the car was ordered at the time with a dark blue velour interior upholstery that makes a sparkling color combination with the silver-gray paint color. Everything is nicely taken care of and works as it should. Even the toolkit built into the underside of the trunk lid with this car exudes care and love. The car is in very good, original condition.
