The trunk trim is also in beautiful condition and even the, for BMW so typical, tool set in the trunk lid is largely complete. The wood inlay on the dashboard, the gear knob and the steering wheel are also in good condition and original. The technology has always been well maintained. The 3.0 CSi gave the starting shot for a whole series of fast BMW’s. The car therefore drives wonderfully and feels very modern despite its respectable age of almost 40 years. The suspension and brakes of this example give a lot of confidence. The original dampers of the suspension were replaced with Bilstein ones in this case. The brakes are easy to dose and the suspension contributes to the pleasant driving experience of this specimen. The transmission shifts well and has fine gear ratios. It is quite possible to drive your favorite road at speed or drive leisurely along the Autobahn. The BMW E9 seems to have almost an infinite repertoire.
