With a length of only 2.28 meters and a featherweight of 350 kilograms, it was more agile and flexible than any other vehicle. The two adult passengers sat side by side, like in a real car - an asset that no other micro car could offer.
The four-stroke engine of the R25 motorcycle, a 250cc single-cylinder, upgraded to be smoother, supplied the BMW Isetta 250 with exactly 12 hp when production began in 1955. The front door opening in front, similar to that of a refrigerator, made it possible to sit easily in the passenger compartment. The steering wheel and the steering column then took the tangent with the door. The micromobile of the 1950s thus marked its time.
