Burton is a Dutch car brand manufactured by garage and importer Burton Car Company. The company is based in Zutphen. The company supplies complete cars and kits, based on a 2CV or an Acadiane of the French car brand Citroën. BCC supplies two models: the Burton, a sports car both with and without a roof, and a 2CV pickup. The bodywork in both cases is polyester. As a garage and importer, it deals with all Citroën A-types and kitcars; it also manufactures new parts. Burton has, by its own admission, one of the largest 2CV workshops in the world. Sales of Burton cars and parts are the company's main activity. In 1998, Burton designed this sports car. In 2000, it was introduced as a Burton. It is not a replica, but Göbel did take inspiration from famous brands such as Bugatti, Jaguar and Hispano Suiza. A beautiful creation on the basis of a 2CV, the Burton! This example is very nicely finished. Originally built in 1984, this Citroen 2CV spent its years as an "ugly duckling" until recently. Recently, this duckling was transformed into a sports car and was provided with a polyester bodywork by the Burton Car Company from Zutphen. The whole thing was finished very neatly and also fitted with nice extras. For example, a chrome trunk rack was mounted, a Burton steering wheel was installed, and as an extra a full tonneau cover.
