Custom made by Superior Coach Builders in Ohio, the Crown Sovereign series of hearses are considered by some to be the one of the most beautiful and well-appointed of the early 70s Cadillac hearses. Including, ambulances, flower cars and hearses, Superior Coach Builder only 1010 Cadillac Coaches in all with 450 hearses built in 1971. This Superior 'Crown Sovereign Landulet' model was their luxury version and offers full chrome crown molding from one side of the coach across the top to the other side of the casket chamber. Interior and exterior embellishments accented the body with Crowns in Red with Gold adornments on the partition, sides, and back door. This coach carries the 'Black Canyon' marble-lized formica table finish, Silver Mica woven fabric drapes and a special embossed faux leather (vinyl) fabric throughout the entire interior. This coach has the usual standard equipment to include power steering & front disc brakes, power windows, commercial glass on all windows, front bumper guards and, of course, the popular radio 'delete'. It also has the optional (costly) factory air conditioning, remote passenger mirror, oversized visors with chrome lock-down device, argent floor mats and white wall tires. It is finished in White Pearl paint, full front Black leatherette upholstery and carpets with a Black vinyl landau coach top. The cool part is it runs and drives like a good 71 Cadillac should. These funeral cars are a unique collectors' items. This 1971 Cadillac Superior coach would make an great addition to any collector garage!
