Unknown is how many are still driving, but for sure this is a very special appearance. Especially such a restored one as this one in Europe. The Aerobus was developed to function as an airport shuttle bus, and as such has no less than 9 doors, 12 seats and ample trunk space. This example is an early built example and was exported from the United States to München, Germany in 2004. Here the car was thoroughly restored, leaving it in good condition. Since 2023, the car has been registered on Dutch license plates. Present with the car are import documents, old ads and old photos of both its time in Germany and the United States.EXTERIORNo expense was spared to restore this Checker. For example, the body was sandblasted and repainted in beautiful, white paintwork. Subtle striping has been applied to the sides. Most of the chrome work has been renewed and is in normal condition with signs of use. Rubbers have also been renewed, as have the wheels. At the time, with a length of 6.70 meters, the car was listed as the longest production car ever in the Guinness Book of Records.INTERIORThe interior has also been addressed, for example, the benches have been reupholstered with dark blue leather instead of faux leather. As many as 4 sofas seat 3 people, making a total of 12. Rather unique for that time is the air conditioning system. The car also features 3 power-operated skylights.
