Description

The Chevrolet Camaro is hét answer to the Mustang, the erstwhile success number of its eternal competitor: Ford. On September 29, 1966, sales and production of the Chevrolet Camaro began, introduced under the 1967 production year. Asked about the meaning of the name Camaro, Chevrolet replied: a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs. As well as Ford's great competitor, the Camaro is an absolute icon and symbol of the American heyday of the auto industry. Looking at the current state of this 1970 Camaro which was delivered new in the sunny state of California, we can only conclude that the previous owners have been very careful with their car. When starting the delicious V8 engine coupled to the automatic transmission you are immediately provided with a wide smile from ear to ear. The bronze-colored body of the car is in good condition. The paint is nicely cared for with only some light signs of use appropriate for the age of the car and mileage. The sheet metal is nice and thin and original throughout with correct fits with some user marks. The chrome trim follows the body nicely and is also in good condition as is the bumper area. The seats are upholstered in leather and are fine. The rear seat is easily accessible and can accommodate two additional passengers. The carpets are also in good condition and fit nicely throughout. The engine and transmission function exactly as they should and, as you would expect from an engine with such’s huge displacement, there is always plenty of torque available and maintaining modern cruising speeds is no problem at all. The brakes are easy to dose and the suspension contributes to the Camaro's pleasant handling. The car has been well maintained over the years and everything functions as you would expect. What an awesome coupé is the 1970 model year Chevrolet Camaro!
