Tribute to the Citroën 2CV 6 James Bond 007 '80

An iconic piece of film history!

Originally an AC 333 Jaune Mimosa 2CV, this car has been restored to absolute mint condition.

The Citroën 2CV has a rich history and many nicknames, including "The Duck," "Ugly Duckling," and "Goat." It is affectionately known as the deux chevaux. Since its debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 7, 1948, the 2CV has become a cultural icon. Initially mocked, it was predicted to have a bright future, which proved true as by 1950, the waiting list for a 2CV was six years.

Designed based on thorough market research, the 2CV was created to be an affordable car for farmers and workers. It could carry a 50-liter barrel of wine, traverse fields without breaking eggs, and was tall enough for drivers to keep their hats on when driving to church.

Despite its humble beginnings, the 2CV became a massive success, with over 4 million units produced between 1948 and 1990. Final models were made in Portugal using leftover parts. Its simple construction led to various adaptations, including the Méhari, van variants, and kit cars like the Burton and Lomax. Today, the 2CV remains beloved, with enthusiasts gathering for the biennial 2CV World Meeting.

This special James Bond edition 2CV 6 from 1980 is a true collector’s dream. Inspired by the film "For Your Eyes Only" (1981), in which Roger Moore’s James Bond drives the 2CV during an iconic car chase, Citroën released a limited run of 500 cars for the French market. These feature imitation bullet holes, paying homage to the film’s legendary scene.

Key features include a 602cc air-cooled engine that offers reliable and charming performance. The car’s original color is Jaune Mimosa.

This 2CV embodies the perfect blend of French simplicity and James Bond’s adventurous elegance. Restored to mint condition, it is ready to hit the road and would make a standout addition to any collector’s garage or a 007 fan’s collection.
