Has stood the test of time fine, by the previous owner equipped with a new chassis , back in time with of course pure nostalgisich driving pleasure. Series production of the 2CV began July 11, 1949. At first it was delivered mainly to farmers (primary target group), health care providers such as general practitioners and famous French artists (free advertising). The French countryside people were immediately enthusiastic, which made the waiting time up to three years. The Netherlands was the first export country for the 2CV in 1952. However, in the beginning the car sold poorly in the Netherlands, probably because of its appearance. The last 2CV was produced on Friday, July 27, 1990. The (Ugly) Duck is now an icon and can be found among the Volkswagen Beetle, the Morris Minor, the Mini, the Fiat 500 and the Trabant. In the Netherlands in 2018 there were still over 8,000 Ducks and the price for a perfectly preserved or restored one had risen to around 15,000 euros. However, parts are relatively cheap and because of its low weight (560 kg), the motor vehicle tax is low or exempt due to its age.
