Vehicle history:
The Citroën Méhari is an open-top leisure vehicle with a plastic body manufactured by Citroën based on the Dyane. The name comes from the French term for a racing dromedary. The vehicles were also used by the military. From May 1968 to October 1987, a total of 144,953 Méharis were built, 1,213 of which had four-wheel drive (AYCE model). Body: The plastic parts of the non-self-supporting body are riveted to a frame made of steel profiles and steel tubes. The floor pan with the rear wheel arches is the largest single part and extends from the front footwell to the rear. Originally registered in the Canary Islands, the current owner bought this Méhari and drove it exclusively at his vacation home in Mallorca. The car was regularly serviced and underwent extensive technical refurbishment in 2019.
