This Delahaye 135 MS Worblaufen convertible has an exceptional appearance, featuring sporty body lines, a raked-back grille, and Art Deco styling. The car's paint color, interior, and dashboard with a transparent three-spoke steering wheel and transparent buttons command attention. It also has a unique, side-hinged hood that opens on both sides.
Worblaufen produced only six examples of the Delahaye 135 MS convertible. This particular car has the front end design not found on the other five, giving it an exceptionally balanced and beautiful appearance. It is considered the most attractive of the series.
The vehicle was registered in Switzerland until 2014 and has held a Dutch license plate since March 2015. The engine was overhauled in 1998, and the body was repainted in fall 2015 to restore its original off-white color. The interior features partially original leather, and the interior of the convertible top remains original.
This spacious four-seater convertible is in very good condition. Extensive documentation includes maintenance and restoration invoices, original brochures, restoration photos, and a statement from the Worblaufen archives confirming that only six were built. The current owner has owned the car since 2015. Due to limited use, it is ready for a new enthusiast to enjoy driving, cruising, and showcasing at Concours d’Elegance.
