The period of creating SAMs falls on the 1950s and 1960s, when cars were a scarce commodity in Poland. That is why inventive "handymen" built their cars from the remains of pre-war cars and from other materials to which they had access.
The model was constructed by Władysław Okarmus - an engineer designing gliders.
The basis for the new vehicle was the DKW F8, from which most of the mechanical components were derived.
The body is made entirely of epoxy resin.
The engine is a Saab unit - three-cylinder, two-stroke, probably with a capacity of 628 cm3.
The rest of the adapted elements come from, among others:
Wartburg, Skoda Octavia, Java motorcycle, Fiat 125p and others.
