Here at Motodrome, we’ve a real soft spot for classic Americana, especially muscle cars , and so we’re pleased to offer this fantastic 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 R/T 2-door hardtop automatic, finished in it’s original colour of Bright Blue Metallic.
One of the classic Mopar muscle cars, the 5th generation Coronet, in R/T form, combines crisp styling in a relatively compact body, with serious performance from the legendary Chrysler 440 cu in V8
Built in St Louis on 13th Sept 1966, chassis no WS23L77110715 (which identifies it as a genuine 440 R/T) was imported into the UK in 2008, and first UK registered in 2012. The V5 shows 2 previous UK keepers.
Fitted with TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes, 3.31:1 axle, and bucket seats.
The engine was rebuilt by Dave Billadeau in 2015 at around 51000 miles, to a higher than standard spec, with full balancing, reworked heads, Mahle pistons, fast road cam etc etc and reputedly now produces close to 500hp
The last owner had the gearbox and torque converter rebuilt in 2022 with high spec internals, to take the extra engine power and torque, and fitted a transmission cooler and fan to go with the electric engine cooling fan.
Odometer reading now 59000 miles, and comes with a good history file
Overall, it’s simply magnificent and guaranteed to start a conversation wherever you park her up, or indeed when you start it up as it’s pretty thunderous!
