Description

This this is a rare 1970 Dodge Polara Convertible, Numbers Matching car. This car is one of only 842 that were produced in 1970 of this make and model, it is top of the line and almost option less. See picture of fender tag and attached fender tag codes. The Super-Lite was a rare option available only for the 1969 and 1970 model years for all of Chrysler makes and models (approx. 1800) adding to the scarcity. This car is powered by a 440 V8 with 727 automatic transmission, numbers matching. Comes with many NOS parts, see attached list. There are 35,299 miles on the odometer. The car is completely restored with approximately 1800 miles on new motor, transmission and rear end. Needs a few minor attention to details. This is a very rare and limited production model and would be a great addition to any collection.

Elvis Presley, The King of Rock 'n' Roll had an undeniable flair for cars, and among his collection sat a charismatic Dodge Polara. Elvis had a way of turning whatever he touched—or drove—into an icon. His love for the Polara added an allure that lures collectors to this day.
Steve McQueen, Often dubbed the "King of Cool," Steve McQueen wasn't your average collector. His preference for performance met with classic style offered by the Polara. It aligned perfectly with his larger-than-life persona and his penchant for thrilling rides, be it on film sets or personal spins.
John Wayne, The Duke himself rode in style with a Dodge Polara offering the cowboy charm of expeditions, although one that traded horses for horsepower. To imagine John Wayne swaggering out of a Polara is to recall the vehicle's rugged essence—a fitting ride for a legendary icon.
From setting speed records that stood tall until the mid-'90s to appearing in the zany adventures of movies like "The Blues Brothers," the Polara was more than a fast-fleeting phenomenon. It was—and remains—a cultural artifact, sitting proudly in history's showrooms.
