Description

Welcome to 99 AUTOMOBILE.

Factory Five Shelby Daytona Coupe from 1965 with a Ford 347ci Stroker V8. This legend has been meticulously recreated, with fewer than 10 examples in France and only 4,210 km on the odometer. It has a fully traced and documented pedigree. The Factory Five Daytona Coupe is the ultimate tribute to one of the most legendary American race cars of all time.

Born on the endurance circuits of the 1960s, the original Shelby Daytona Coupe made motorsport history by winning the World GT title from Ferrari in 1965. Factory Five Racing, a leader in high-fidelity kit car restorations, has faithfully recreated every curve and detail of this American icon. This second-generation Factory Five Daytona Coupe traveled from New Jersey via Vanguard before arriving in France. It comes with a legendary registration certificate.

Vehicle highlights include a Ford 347ci Stroker V8 with original cylinder heads, a Tremec T5 5-speed racing transmission, Ford 8.8" limited-slip rear axle, front and rear disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, dual side exhaust with ceramic headers, impeccable metallic blue paint, original racing decals, Shelby fuel cap, Cobra-style chassis, and fewer than 10 examples in France.

The mechanics and chassis feature a 347ci Stroker V8 engine with aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel 600 CFM carburetor, Tremec T5 5-speed transmission, independent front suspension, Ford 8.8" limited-slip rear axle, front and rear disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and dual side exhaust with ceramic headers.

The racing interior includes bucket seats with 5-point harnesses, a wooden steering wheel, center console with Shelby-style floor-mounted shifter, original roll bar, immaculate carpet and upholstery, and a full instrument cluster with tachometer, pressure gauge, and voltmeter. It is designed as a race cockpit, not a living room.

The vehicle's history and documentation are comprehensive, including the original VIN NCS96118 registered in 1965, complete invoices, receipts, factory documentation, traceable pedigree from New Jersey through Vanguard to France, and an up-to-date maintenance log. Spare parts are available from Factory Five. It is road-legal, certified, and ready to drive.
