Description

It has taken a while but éindly people are starting to see that the Ferrari 308 GTB is just a very nice and well-built car. This example has a fantastic history and is in very good condition. The car was once fully restored and overhauled in the past and since then has been in the hands of enthusiasts who have taken very good care of the car and stored it inside on the days it was not used. The history of this example is beautifully documented and if we look in the present documents we see that this example is still a matching numbers copy. Not only that, the car was also restored in its original color scheme, matching numbers and colors. The bodywork looks beautiful. The sheet metal is beautifully original and has very nice fits. Also things like the folding headlights, bumpers and glass is just in very good condition. The car stands on the original wheels with good tires around them in the correct sizes. During the restoration, all door and window rubbers were also replaced. The paint is still in very good condition with only some very light traces of use. The grille has chrome bars that are also in very good condition. The design of the Ferrari 308 GTB has long been described as a large Dino and when we "en profil" look at the silhouette of the car we can understand why. It is a beautiful car with wonderful proportions. The interior is also a feast for the eyes. The seats are covered with beautiful black nappa leather and are fantastic. The car was fitted with new carpets during the restoration which are also in very good condition. The counters and controls are all completely original and are in very good condition. The beautiful Veglia counters have a wonderful look and at first sight give you the feeling that you are on the road with something special. As if that were not enough, you also have a fantastic view of that beautiful open-topped transmission from both front seats. It is a Ferrari first and foremost, let there be no doubt about that. The Ferrari 308 GTB is powered by a 2.9-liter V8 equipped with Weber carburetors. The engine produces 255 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and even has a redline of 7,700. The engine runs beautifully and pulls wonderfully through the revs. The sound of the flatplane V8 engine is fantastic in the process. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The suspension and brakes are also top notch, and after just a few feet it becomes clear why the Ferrari 308 GTB has been attracting more and more interest from the buying public lately. It is simply a great driving car! Of course, a little "hot hatch" is faster today but that is not the point of this kind of car this kind of car is there to give you a special feeling and this Ferrari 208 GTB does that like no other. The documentation of the Ferrari is just as beautiful as its appearance. The car comes with two folders of documentation. When we read in them we see that the car has belonged to a sales manager of a large Dutch Ferrari dealer for a long time, the car has always been well maintained and that the restoration was absolutely no half job. In short if you are looking for ééone of the best Ferrari 308 GTBs on the market, then this is the perfect car for you.
