The 308 GTB was first introduced to the market in Paris in 1975 as an 8-cylinder mid-engine. "Bella macchina" was the title of the author Motor Sport 1976. The designer Pininfarina knew how to combine elements of the predecessor Dino 246 GT and the 365 GT4 BB in a stylistically perfect way. The 308 series was very successful and was sold with the successor model GTS for over 10 years. The engine was transversely installed and designed for timing belt control for the camshaft control and impresses with its very good performance. Between 1975 and 1981 a total of 2897 GTBs were built. The numbers “3” and “0” indicate the displacement, ie 3.0 liters. The following number “8” stands for the number of cylinders. GT means Gran Turismo and the "B" stands for Berlinetta. That is what Ferrari traditionally called those coupés that only had two seats.
This Ferrari 308 GTB was first delivered to California / USA. In 2006 it was imported to Germany by a Ferrari collector. The history is traceable. This vehicle has always been optimally cared for and maintained. Scuderia Sportiva Colonia is restoring the vehicle and giving it its original color "Giallo fly". The previous owner had repainted it in red at the time, as all Ferrari's had to be red in the 90s.
This early GTB is equipped with electric windows, original Blaupunkt radio and air conditioning. Extensive documentation is available, including a manual. After completion (approx. 2-3 months after signing the contract) it will be very difficult to find a vehicle in such a pristine condition and such an extraordinary color combination again. The design, the background noise and the actual problem-free driving of this "Cavallino Rampante" make heart palpitations even for people who have only a tiny drop of gasoline in their blood. It is already considered a timeless classic with a very good potential for appreciation
