This is a beautiful Ferrari 400i which was delivered new in 1983 by Ferrari dealer Pozzi in Levallois in France. The car has been very well maintained by the previous owner and is therefore a pleasure to drive. The 1983 Ferrari 400i received a number of attractive upgrades over the models from previous years. The 4.8 liter V12 now delivers 315hp, the panel on which the license plate is mounted is now painted in the color of the car instead of black, the grille now has fog lights, the dashboard was improved, The car received other camshafts and exhaust manifolds to deliver the higher power, finally, the 400i received new door mirrors that were more elegant and also feature a Ferrari logo. This specimen has always been cherished by the previous owner. He not only always kept the car neatly stored inside but also maintained it very well. He has purchased the Ferrari in 1996 and only recently sold to us. We can therefore rightly speak of long term ownership. The bodywork looks great. The sheet metal is everywhere completely original and nice and thin. The fits are correct and the paint is in very good condition. The car stands on the original wheels with the correct Michelin TRX tires, even the spare wheel is equipped with the correct tire. The bumpers and moldings are also in very good and original condition and connect correctly everywhere. The interior is equipped with beautifully cared for and original beige leather. The first owner had a special sense of taste. He put the car together in the stunning color scheme consisting of a metallic silver exterior, beige leather on the seats and a brown dashboard. It gives the 400i an understated luxurious look. The 400i is a Ferrari that is particularly suitable for covering long distances at speed. The car is therefore equipped with comfortable seats, a fine steering wheel and in this case an automatic transmission. Furthermore, the dashboard is fully upholstered in leather, the car has air conditioning and a car radio. All things that increase comfort on board. The technology of the Ferrari 400i was very advanced for the time. The rear axle is equipped with automatic height control, the car has an automatic transmission and the V12 engine is equipped with mechanical fuel injection. The engine is a true piece of art, exactly as smooth as you would expect from a V12. There is always a sur plus of pulling power available and as the revs rise, the sound also gets better and better. The engine delivers 315 hp and the automatic transmission has three stages. It makes the 400i still a very smooth car even by today's standards. The previous owner has maintained the car well and has, among other things, already had the automatic overhauled, the entire K-jetronic system overhauled, the alternator overhauled, new injectors installed and, of course, regularly replaced all fluids. In short, a beautiful Ferrari 400i in a very attractive color scheme and wonderful original appearance. Both optically and technically a very good car.
