Description

1984 Ferrari 400 i - 4.8l V12 – 315pk

This 1984 Ferrari 400i is one design-masterpiece by the famous Pininfarina. It’s sobre, straight-forward design seems to grow more and more popular as the years pass by, which explains the rapidly climbing prices of these beauties. They are among the last of the classic Ferrari V12’s but their rapidly increasing popularity means they won’t be affordable for long. On top of that, our car has the manual gearbox, which makes it one of the only 421 examples in this configuration. This also means this car has the traditional Ferrari-layout: front-mounted V12, manual gearbox and rear-wheel driven. A limited-slip-differential makes sure that all of the V12 power is brought to the street in a decent way.

The beauty presented here has a very original and nicely patinated interior that brings you right back to the early eighties and the original radio certainly helps to get you in the right mood. However, since the fully restored Colombo V12 engine presents you with a relatively discrete but stunning concerto everytime you touch the throttle, the chance that the radio won’t be used very often is rather big. There of course are several invoices and pictures of the complete engine rebuild by a renowned Ferrari-specialist available. Some 500km’s ago the clutch and exhaust-system were renewed as well.

The nicely resprayed and original silver body color matches extremely well with the bright beige leather interior.

The speed, class and reliability of these cars are part of the reason why the first Italian owner has kept it in his collection for 31 years… Now the car has had 3 Belgian owners/afficionado’s and thus has a Belgian registration. These cars are fast, reliable and comfortable 2+2GT’s, wich makes them superbly suited for frequent use.

Are you looking for an original icon that is not only fast but also reliable and comfortable to use: look no further. Come and convince yourself that this car is a great driver and an even better investment!
